  • Tiffany at Winterthur in Delaware

Until January 3rd, visitors to the Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library in Winterthur, Delaware, have a chance to view a very special exhibition of Tiffany Stained Glass. The Museum, located on the former du Pont estate, about 45 minutes southwest of Philadelphia, is showing Tiffany Glass: Painting with Color and Light, which features selected works by Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933). The exhibition was organized by the Neustadt Collection of Tiffany Glass in New York City.

  • Grand Central Station in New York City

On a recent trip to the New York City area I had the pleasure of catching a train at Grand Central Station.  This is a historic building that continues to be used by many commuters, and visited by plenty of tourists.  The building has lots of ramps and elevators, making all trains and platforms accessible for the wheel chair bound individuals.  The trains are also very accessible, and provide much more room than the buses or subways.

So, I was more than thrilled when they approached me again this year to try out some more of their wonderful products.

It is December. Winter is already upon us. Cold fronts cross the Gulf of Mexico and the Florida Straits, and hit Havana’s Malecon, or sea wall, creating an impressive spectacle of breaking waves, crashing against the Malecon and turning into foam…

December is also the time of year for movie lovers. The Havana Film Festival, or more properly, the International Festival of the New Latin American Cinema starts in the first week of December. This year it will be the 37th edition of the Festival, from December 3rd to the 13th.
