“This is an extremely popular event in the Hudson Valley and guests plan for it well in advance,” said Dena Finneran, who co-owns the award-winning country inn with her husband John. “The trail, and the wreaths our guests come back with, are truly spectacular.”

The Shawangunk Wine Trail will issue each couple who attends Fineries on the Wineries a handmade grapevine wreath and a souvenir wine glass. The guests may then visit up to 15 wineries, taste wine, and collect their trinkets.

This is the last Saturday and Sunday of the year (December 10-11) where guests get to sip and decorate. Afterward they get to unwind in the multi-award winning bed and breakfast and enjoy the various complimentary amenities -- smart TVs with Netflix/Hulu, free Wi-Fi Internet access, snacks, individual room temperature controls, iPads and more; and of course, a three course gourmet breakfast in the morning.

The participating wineries include: Adair Vineyards, Applewood Winery, Baldwin Vineyards, Benmarl Winery, Brimstone Hill Winery, Brotherhood Winery, Brunel & Rafael Winery, Clearview Vineyards, Demarest Hill Winery, Glorie Farm Winery, Palaia Vineyards, Robibero Winery, Stoutridge Vineyard, Warwick Valley Winery, and Whitecliff Vineyard.

The "Sip and Decorate" package (based on two people) includes:

  • 2-night stay at the Caldwell House Bed and Breakfast
  • 2 -day admission to the Shawangunk Wine Trail Fineries at the Wineries event
  • Complimentary three course gourmet breakfasts
  • Free WiFi at the inn so you can share your journey on social media

Package starts at $505 (plus tax) and includes admission for two on both days to the Fineries on the Wineries – subject to availability; price varies depending on room selection. Reservations must be made in advance.
