Susie and Beau are definitely happy dogs! They are always looking for new places to carry their happy canine energy and believe they have found another one on the west coast in the Nob Hill district of San Francisco.

First – just as a matter of fact – San Francisco is one of the cities that their daddy visited that is close to the top of the list of his favorite destinations.  There is a seemingly unending list of things to do, places to see and great food to eat on the city on the bay. Whether its riding the cable cars, visiting Chinatown, walking through Golden Gate Park, there is enough to do for several extended visits.

Additionally there are many interesting side trips, such as crossing the Golden Gate Bridge to visit Marin County  and seeing the John Muir Redwood Forest or taking a trip to Yosemite. There is much to WOW any traveler.

San Francisco also has some of the best culinary cuisine in North America and ranks along with New York, Chicago and New Orleans for great dining.

Stanford Court perched atop the famous Nob Hill is an up to date 393 room hotel. The hotel sits on the historic site of Leland Stanford’s  elaborate private mansion which was built at the corner of California and Powell streets in 1876.

The hotel has initiated a Happy Dog Program to focus on guests traveling with their best friends in which the hotel provides guests with items they can borrow, keep or purchase to make pet travel a seamless experience.

The cost of bringing your pet is $50 per visit. Upon arrival travelers will be given a complimentary map of dog-friendly parks in the area, a ball, a tug toy, poop bags and dispenser, a lint roller and a souvenir bag. When you reach your room, you find a dog bed, appropriate for the size of your dog, food and water bowls, a spill mat, and a leash. They can also be purchased for $25 each if desired when you leave the hotel. They also will lend the guest such items as a Petcube camera, a GoPro Fetch dog harness, and an iFetch Frenzy ball roller to keep you dog amused.

Plenty to do for both you and your best friend!
