Valencia is a must visit city for those of you who love warm sunny days, beautiful beaches as well gardens full of magnificent flowers - few cities in the world have all three features that are as beautiful as Valencia!
A colleague of mine and I had the privilege to meet the famous Lladro porcelain
makers when they were on tour in Los Angeles. My friend who is from Columbia,
was very helpful being fluent in Spanish, she elegantly assisted them with their itinerary
in meeting many celebrities and collectors from the Lladro Collection. As a thank you they invited us to visit Valencia and get a tour of their facility. In addition we were informed to be sure to indulge in ordering Paella Valencia – a famous and delicious delicacy. Note, we were told the actual taste from local waters actually affects the taste! I can attest to this fact! Indeed it does and though I have ordered again in other countries, the most delicious is found in Valencia!
Valencia is located in the Mediterranean coast and considered the third most important city in Spain and the third largest city. Many traditions and festivities such as Las Fallas known world-wide in March to the most important being the Water Court or El Tribunal de las Aguas. Some of these monuments were declared World Heritage by UNRESCO in 1996.
To stroll through the magnificent gardens do visit Turia garden, The Royal Gardens and the Ayora Gardens. These are just a few of the many gardens and parks throughout the city!
Valencia with medieval history also is one of the most modern where major architectural buildings with world acclaim can be found. A city of Arts and Science where you can promenade and explore these magnificent structures.
