Looking for a luxury venue in New York City where you can stay with your dog sharing the experience? HotelLEX fills the bill by providing perks for both humans and canines.
The hotel was formerly part of the Hyatt franchise, but is now an independent luxury hotel. The hotel is located at 517 Lexington Ave. in Midtown East – conveniently located near Times Square, Central Park, St.Patricks Cathedral and the UN among others.
Since becoming an independent hotel, the hotel has sought to create new innovative programs for its guests. Among these is their new pet-friendly program. The staff went out into the city to find the options available for people visiting New York with their dogs and to provide a variety of luxury options for them at the hotel.
Among the perks provided at the hotel for guests arriving with their pets are a Beekman 1802 dog mat and bowls, bottled water service, a hotel-branded dog tag with the property’s address for safety while in the city, waste bags and a choice of a toy from the hotel’s selection. Also for an additional fee, a dog-walking service is available, as well as a GPS tracker for your peace of mind.
When you arrive you and your dog(s) are greeted and escorted through the lobby and your best friend is allowed to pick his favorite toy out of the available selection. The bowls, water and a bed are set up for your pet in your room.
Dogs are allowed that are 50 pounds or less or two dogs weighing a total of 75 pounds or less. Susie and Beau are happy because they fall within the guideline for two dogs. The charge for having your dog stay with you is $50 per day.
