On a recent visit this winter to New York City I insisted my daughter and I visit the iconic Rockefeller Center. Although Christmas was over there was a special magical feeling in the Plaza.
Our first plan was to be on the Today Show standing outside and watching the process. Unfortunately it was sleeping and nasty at 4:30 am so we decided to sleep in a little longer. We actually had reservations to attend, which I do encourage.
We went to the Rockefeller Plaza around 10:00 am. Our first stop was the Top Of The Rock. We saw wonderful views of New York. It was beautiful. Down towards the basement we enjoyed watching the ice skating rank . After our coffee break we went window shopping, then checked out the Today Shop.
While shopping in the Today Shop we were approached and asked if we were busy tonight. This is NYC, so I was cautious. It turns out there were seats available for a taping of the Late Late Show. This sounded like fun so we returned in the evening. And… we were at the taping. This ended up to be one of the “must do” activities for my daughter. We were rewarded by participating in a hysterical warm up, and a number of great guests.
ROCKEFELLER PLAZA is an accessible group of builldings in the middle of NYC. Many different shops and dining options are available. NBC has media productions in the complex. The Top Of The Rock has a wonderful view of NYC.
